Regarding media reports of passengers from the Diamond Princess cruise ship, who have been tested positive for the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV),reportedly had lunch at the Ambassador Hotel Taipei after the ship docked the Keelung Harbor on January 31st, the Ambassador Hotel Taipei would like to officially clarify that no cruise ship passengers dined at the hotel on January 31st. The false media reports have severely damaged the hotel’s reputation and caused unnecessary panic. 

 

Since the outbreak of 2019-nCoV, the Ambassador Hotel Taipei has formed a special department immediately to help prevent the spread of the disease. We have taken the highest standard of measures to help protect not only our customers who dine/stay at our hotel, but also all of our employees’ health and safety. The false media reports caused misunderstanding and false rumors, also severely damaged the hotel’s reputation. The Ambassador Hotel Taipei would like to make this official public statement to clarify the false media reports and rumors, and would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for their continuous support and loyalty.
