HSINCHU CHENGHUANG TEMPLE
Just five minutes’ drive from Ambassador Hotel Hsinchu, Hsinchu Chenghuang (City God) Temple is regarded as the most important City God temple in Taiwan, due to the superior power of its City God in protecting the city. For more than two centuries, many have come to the temple to pray for good luck, success in exams, and even meeting ‘the one’.

In front of the Hsinchu Chenghuang Temple, you’ll find numerous small stalls selling traditional Hsinchu snacks at the Hsinchu Chenghuang Temple Night Market, just five minutes’ drive from Ambassador Hotel Hsinchu.
Enjoy old-fashioned flavors among such all-time favorites as Liu’s Braised Pork Rice, Zheng’s Fish Balls, Acheng Rice Vermicelli, Kuo’s Spring Rolls, Lian’s Cuttlefish Thick Soup, and Wang’s Oyster Omelet.

HSINCHU MUNICIPAL GLASS ART MUSEUM
Discover amazing glass artwork, learn more about how glass is blown and shaped, and even try your hand at creating glass art at the Hsinchu Municipal Glass Art Museum, only five minutes’ drive from Ambassador Hotel Hsinchu.
The museum complex is in itself a beautiful space. Formerly the Autonomous Club House, the original building of the museum was constructed in 1936 to accommodate visiting royal family from Japan.
